Safety in the field is paramount. Our Bundled Blaze Orange and Blaze Orange with Reflective stripe BioThane collars maximise your gundog’s visibility in the field, bush, or water. The reflective stripe assists in maximising the dog’s visibility in low light conditions.
BioThane is basically a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, and easy to clean.
All the collar hardware, including buckle, loops and reinforcement studs are stainless steel and are therefore superior to other lower grade metal alternatives on the market as they won’t rust or corrode like those alternatives if the collar is looked after well. This makes it perfect for water-based training (or play time in the beach) as well as the harsh conditions a working dog can sometimes encounter in the field.
Although it is very light in weight, the collar is robust and durable.
It comes in one size at 62cm long x 2.5 cm wide x 2mm thick and has 7 holes so that you can use it on your pup as they grow to adulthood.
Will suit dogs with neck girth from 30cm to 47cm.
To measure your dog’s neck, take a flexible measuring tape and measure around the neck where the collar usually sits. Don’t measure too high or too low on the neck. Allow a couple of fingers to fit beneath the measuring tape. Alternatively, measure an existing comfortable collar.
For reference, our model Jax the 2-year-old GSP has a neck girth of approximately 44 cm and uses the 3rd hole from the buckle. So, plenty of room left to accommodate larger dogs such as Labradors or Golden Retrievers and other larger gundog breeds.
IMPORTANT: Reflective stripes are susceptible to scuffing/rubbing and long exposure to water and harsh detergents. To clean these collars, use a mild detergent in warm water with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth.
