These nylon slip leads are extremely durable and is the perfect lead for training your dog to walk at heel, loose-lead-walking or for training your gundog at a distance whilst maintaining control over it where necessary.
They are 10mm thick and come in 1.2 meter, 1.5 meter and 20 meter options (note that this length assumes at least 50cm around the dog’s neck so the actual length of the lead may be slightly longer). This bundle includes the 20 meter check long lead and one of either the 1.2 meter OR 1.5 meter check lead.
They are blaze orange so can be easily seen on the ground and in the field.
The leads both have a stainless steel loop and a rubber stopper that prevents the slip becoming too loose around the dog’s neck. Many slip leads on the market only have a leather / leather-look stopper which can get worn down and loosen over time with frequent usage. However, our rubber stopper is far more durable and should last longer than the material based stopper alternatives on the market.
The handler’s end of the rope can be safely stepped on and controlled with your feet or with your hand with the handle at the end of the long-lead. The handle and loop sections are bound by heavy duty stitching capped off with a plastic cap and metal screws and wrapped in heat shrunken rubber for further protection. This will ensure that the rope is not easily pulled apart under pressure of a pulling dog and offers a sleek, professional finished look.
It comes with a blaze orange travel bag for easy stowing.
This slip lead bundle is perfect for professional dog trainers, hunters and dog owners alike and is an indispensable tool for training your Hunting, Tracking, Stalking, Big Game, Bird Dogs or furry family member.
IMPORTANT: This is NOT a tie-off rope it is a training aid only, and you should not leave your dog tied up with this rope unsupervised as constant pulling or yanking may compromise the integrity of the longline. Furthermore, if left unattended, this may pose a strangulation risk to your dog. We do not recommend you walk your dog with a tight lead as this may constrict the dog’s neck and result in a strangulation hazard. Slip leads are a training device and should not be used incorrectly.
This Tracking Lead is not intended for water-based training.
